Alan Brenner is an accomplished software product leader and innovator with extensive experience developing mobile platforms, products, and applications. In his current role as Founder and Principal Consultant of A. S. Brenner Consulting LLC, he provides strategy, product management and executive development consulting to startup and established software platform and application companies.

 

Before founding A. S. Brenner Alan was Chief Product Officer at Mocana, Corporation

where he oversaw the development of Mocana’s Atlas enterprise mobile application

security platform. Prior to Mocana, Alan was Senior Vice President at BlackBerry

responsible for BlackBerry’s Value Added Services business products including

BlackBerry BES, BIS and BBM.

 

Prior to BlackBerry, Alan was Senior Vice President at Sun Microsystems where he led

Sun’s mobile and embedded Java software products business and a number of other Sun software product businesses.

 

Alan holds B. A. with Honors in Philosophy from York University and a master’s in

Computer and Information Science from Cleveland State University.
