Bruce Terry
Retired CEO of Mayfran International

Bruce was President and CEO of Mayfran International, Inc. (’87-’94); VP Sales (’79-’83); and Ex. VP & Gen. Mgr. (’83-’87). He won dozens of multi-million-dollar contracts; drove the company’s global market penetration, notably in Japan and Europe. Through a number of joint-ventures, international license and technology agreements, and acquisitions, revenue grew 10X with employment world-wide reaching ca. 1000 employees.

He spent the early years of his career (’68-’79) in sales and general management in the overhead electric crane industry; holds an MBA from Drexel University; a BBA, from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton); and served in the United States Air Force as an Intelligence Operations Specialist (’62-’66).

After retiring from Mayfran, he taught graduate students “Technology Feasibility” and “Venture Creation” in CWRU’s Science and Technology Program (STEP) for six and a half years.

He is a member of NCAF Funds I, II, and III, and a long-serving member of the Investment Screening Committee; also screens for the GLIDE Innovation Fund; mentors several startups and entrepreneurs; and is a partner in Plexar Imaging, a startup focused on radiology quality control.
