Dave Stack, an early internet entrepreneur, is a developer of several B2C marketplaces. He runs his businesses as lifestyle businesses and has no employees. Several of his businesses have been operating for close to 20 years and earn passive income by running nearly on autopilot.
His largest business, MusicStack.com, was started in the mid-'90s out of his dorm room at Ohio State University during his undergraduate studies in computer science and electrical engineering. MusicStack is an online music marketplace which sells vinyl records and CDs from over 1400 records store worldwide.
Another marketplace created by Dave is BearPile.com. It is similar to the handmade crafts marketplace Etsy.com but pre-dates it by several years. Bear Pile focuses on artists selling high-end handmade teddy bears.
Other online businesses founded by Dave include Coupon Saver (a coupon website), Reborns and Doll Pile (custom high-end doll site similar to Bear Pile), In Stock Costumes (costumes site), Plugged in Cleveland (a local events portal) and EZ Site (a content management platform).
Outside of online marketplaces, Dave also has a patent involved with real-time database uploading and data mapping which was recently sold to a defensive patent firm.
Dave is a long time Ohio City resident has a passion for investing, Victorian homes, urban homesteading (gardening, chicken, and beekeeping), traveling and living an active, low-stress vegetarian lifestyle.
